Sensor Shelly Gas LPG

The Shelly GAS LPG detector requires a standard power supply of 230V AC. Ensure proper connections to the live, neutral, and ground wires as per European electrical standards. The detector operates without a neutral wire, making it suitable for installation in older buildings where neutral wires may not be present.

The Shelly GAS LPG detector is compatible with Home Assistant and supports MQTT protocol. To integrate, first ensure the device is connected to your WiFi network. Then, configure the MQTT settings in the Shelly app and add the device to Home Assistant using the MQTT integration. This allows for real-time monitoring and automation triggers based on gas leak alerts.

Typical installation scenarios include placing the detector in kitchens, near gas appliances, and in storage areas for LPG tanks. Ensure the device is positioned at least 30 cm away from walls and other obstructions for optimal gas detection. Additionally, consider installing the Shelly GAS ADDON MANIPULATOR to automatically cut off gas supply in case of a leak.

If the Shelly GAS LPG detector does not alarm, check the following:

In contrast, the Shelly GAS ADDON MANIPULATOR is designed to take action by cutting off the gas supply when a leak is detected. For comprehensive protection, both devices should be used together.
